The Global Dental NewsJournal is a unique publication: we have
no ego problems when it comes to other peoples’ work.
We don’t think it’s right to demand that you give up
total control of copyright just to get published. Most, if not
all, dental publications demand that you not only relinquish all
rights to your work, but also that theirs be the first publication
in which the article is published.
We don’t see it that way: If you want to publish with us
- good! We need you. If you want to publish with us first - great.
But you can still submit your article for publication in other
journals, if you like, even if it appears in ours. Don’t
forget: this is a world-wide medium, not just a 10,000-subscriber
publication. And our subscribers are our journal.
If you are already published in another journal and would like
to republish with us for wider audience exposure - feel free.
We don’t mind being second fiddle; we just want the knowledge.
BUT, you will need to get a release from the publication that
took your rights in the first place. Use the following statement
as a guide and include it with all pertinent signatures:
The _______________ (publishing house, journal, etc.) has released
the article titled __________________ . The authors ________________
(names) have transferred all copyright ownership to the above
named publication when the above-named article was exclusively
published on ______________(date). A one-time release to said
authors to reprint the above named article in The Global Dental
NewsJournal, in whole or in part, is granted.
Be sure all appropriate signatures appear.
Terms and Conditions of Membership
Please read carefully these terms and conditions:
- 1. No warranty is made by GDNJ regarding information, services,
or products provided through or in connection with the Service,
and GDNJ hereby expressly disclaims any and all warranties, including
without limitation:
- A. any warranties as to the availability, accuracy, or content
of information, products, or services.
- B. any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied
warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
- 2. Except for public domain material and electronic messages,
all material displayed on the Service is copyrighted by G.I.S.A.,
Inc., and may not be copied, redistributed, or downloaded, in
whole or in part, without the prior written consent of G.I.S.A.,
Inc. unless otherwise clearly stated in this agreement.
- 3. GDNJ is a registered trademark of Global Internet Sites and
Advertising, Inc.
- 4. The material on the GDNJ is for the private, non-commercial
use and self-betterment of our readers’ only. Any other use
is prohibited.
- 5. The GDNJ enables dentists to share information with other
dentists. Readers agree not to submit, publish, or display on
the GDNJ any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, threatening, racially
offensive, or illegal material. Transmission of such material
that violates any federal, state, or local law, is prohibited.
- 6. Readers agree not to engage in advertising to, or solicitation
of other readers to buy or sell any products or services through
the GDNJ without prior written consent. Readers are responsible
for information they send, or display through the GDNJ even if
a claim should arise.
- 7. There are no facilities provided by the GDNJ for sending
or receiving private or confidential electronic communications.
All messages shall be deemed to be readily accessible to the general
readership ( and possibly the general public). Do not use the
Service for any communication for which the sender intends only
the sender and the intended recipient(s) to read. Notice is hereby
given that all messages entered into the GDNJ can and may be read
by the operators of the GDNJ, whether or not they are intended
recipient(s).
- 8. Notices by GDNJ to readers may be given by means of electronic
messages through the Service, by a general posting on the Service,
or by personal e-mail. Notices by readers may be given by electronic
messages. All questions, complaints, or notices to GDNJ by means
of electronic message, are referred to number (2.), previously
in this Agreement for the appropriate information.
- 9. This Agreement contains the entire agreement between the
readers and GDNJ regarding the use of the Service, and supersedes
all prior written and oral understandings and writings, and may
only be amended upon notice by GDNJ to its’ readers. Unless
otherwise explicitly stated, the provisions of this Agreement
shall survive its termination.
Commercial Interests
If you have any direct or indirect involvement with any product
method or material contained in your article or any similar product
not mentioned, PLEASE state so. We will find out, anyway.
Direct or indirect commercial interests, grant supports or any
other involvement's must be revealed. Compliance will be inferred
at the time of submission.
Furthermore, all authors must attest to CREATIVE involvement in
the article submitted.
We reserve the right to edit manuscripts and ensure clarity and
consistency. But we will, in most cases, refer them back to the
author to spruce up.
Manuscripts will be reviewed by the editorial board and individual
review committees. At times they may be forwarded to editorial staff
consultants with expertise in the field appropriate to the article.
