To GDNJ,

An excellent issue for the year 2000. I have been debating with myself about this "high-tech" office thing, but really, it’s expensive! If you have any advice about these newer technologies and the timeframe in which they will be out, I’d appreciate any direction you can give me.

EDITORS NOTE: The not to distant future will see remarkable gains for those dentists who want true integration and automation in the digital dental environment. That could be as near as 6 months to one year. Technology available to the profession as a whole has been piecemeal and outrageously expensive, while not delivering what is promised. That will soon change!

Dear Kevin E. Smith, DMD and Stephanie F. Smith, DMD,

I wish to thank you for allowing me to experience your wonderful site. Sir, I am Dr. Hitesh Shah, practicing general dentistry in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Sir, we publish a newsletter to be distributed free to practitioners of eastern India. Will you be kind to contribute some articles to our newsletter and give us the honor to share your knowledge and expertise. Waiting for a favorable reply, thanking you. Yours faithfully.

Dr. Hitesh Shah

EDITORS NOTE: Dr. Hitesh, we would be honored to submit any article or commentary for your newsletter. As a matter of fact, feel free to download and copy anything of ours that appears in our NewsJournal. That should give you a start!

Dear Drs. Smith,

I like the quaint atmosphere of your website. Having been in the dental profession for 20 years as a chairside assistant, practice administrator and consultant and facilitator, I always have thoughts that come to me that is information that I feel all dentists should be aware of. Would you be interested in any of my thoughts?

I hesitate to write this, understanding that you are looking for solicitations from dentists. However, I feel that I can be a benefit to your site. Let me know.

Cordially,
Nancy B. Caudill, PeopleSkills

EDITORS NOTE: Nancy, write whatever you’d like. An opinion column, clinical how-to, or anything else that strikes your fancy. We review everything sent to us and if we modify it or decide it doesn’t quite fit, we let you know so you can change it around or tell us to shove it!

Seriously, we try to convey the message that everyone in the profession has something to say and can help others find the right path. If you feel the need to write, we’d be more than happy to review it for publication in our NewsJournal. Thanks for taking the time to respond and hope this finds you well.

Sirs:

Thank you for your excellent journal.
